Shop Small Mother’s Day Gift Guide
This Mother’s Day is going to look a little different for all of us. Because of social distancing, we have to get more creative when it comes to gift buying . All of the women that I am featuring in this post are near and dear to my heart. They are all hard working, genuinely awesome women. During this COVID19 crisis I have seen each of these business owners working their butts off to help others and provide to their community while also keeping their business going safely.
While we may not be able to give our moms & mother figures in our life the big giant hugs they deserve, we DO have the ability to give them a gift that is truly special. Know that in supporting any one of these shops you are supporting women who help others, work hard and appreciate your business more than you know!
Any purchase from one of these shops is guaranteed to be a special and unique gift that will be cherished.
1. For the Gardener:
The first Boss Babe artist also happens to by MY mama , Deborah Walker . Her art is whimsical and thoughtful with a touch of the beachy vibes inspired by her community in Solana Beach.
”I painted the roses because I loved that growing up my Grandma always loved roses, had rose gardens and we would cut them, put them all around the house and she would always make everyone take a photo holding them and smelling them because she was so proud of them. I always loved roses since then.”

2. For the Fashion Mama:
I first met Tawny at a local popup shop and instantly fell in love with her collection. Not only is she the most down to Earth, friendly person, but she has pieced together a collection of clothing that is flattering on every size and comfy to boot. The clothing I have bought from her are some of my favorite pieces.
Dress up your at home look with this cozy mock neck t-shirt maxi dress with pockets! Made in a buttery soft fabric with side slit details and double band hem line. So versatile you'll be wearing this with heels and your favorite sneakers.
3. For the Personalized Jewelry Collector:
Lindsey is a SoCal mama and nurse , she is working hard in the ICU and her side hustle , JBloom. She is by far one of the sweetest women I know and JBloom has the most beautiful quality jewelry.
They ship so fast and have the most unique collection of personalized items I have seen. The special item this month is the Hidden Message Necklace, at only $20. Also, for the month of April, they are taking 20% off all purchases!
4. For the Sentimental:
I recently found Marissa through a friend’s instagram and fell in love with her style. She started designing these bracelets for her own mama tribe and it developed into the sweetest Etsy shop around. With Spring Markets cancelled and downtime from her day job due to the pandemic she has poured a ton of time and energy into Salty Beads OC and I am just loving everything she has offered.

5. For the Fit Mama
Throw your hair up in the most comfy and beautiful way before hitting the yoga mat or going for a walk. Hanna from Han.madegoods creates unique, handmade accessories. They also do custom orders!
Hanna is another new Instagram friend I have made and let me tell you, her kindness and good heart just shines through everything she does in her business. She recently dropped everything to make masks at cost for her community and has been a source of help and inspiration for me and so many others in the last month. Her headbands and hair scrunchies are true beauties and everything she does is made with love.
6. For the Mom who has everything:
If you are looking for the most unique cards and gifts you will EVER see then look no further than Alair Seattle. Shannon has taken the inventory from her brick & mortar shop and added it to her online collection. With everything from T-shirts to candles you will definitely find a gift that is unique and cracks a smile.
Shandon is the owner of Alair and has the best heart. I have recently been introduced to her (online) through Carla Marie & a podcast we were both on called Side Hustlers and to hear about her business is to love it. During this time she has opened up her shop privately to immunocompromised customers, donated fabric to mask makers, and put out products that she knows will bring joy to her customers during this crazy time.
7. For the Free Spirit :
If you find yourself in Southern California’s Solana Beach you will absolutely HAVE to drop into Neiki’s Boutique inside Pam’s. Neiki features the most beautiful curated collection of local artists and her own handmade jewelry and accessories.
Everything she has is thoughtfully picked for the SoCal native or beach bohemian at heart. Each and every item in her shop is special and thoughtful. It is like stepping into her soul, which I know is pure goodness. Give her a follow on Instagram and browse her photos there. She is offering local deliveries as well as shipping!

8. For the Mom on the Go :
Lastly, my shop is open and ready for gift buying! While my inventory is a little low from all of the mask making I have thrown myself into, there is still PLENTY of goodness to go around.
My shop has a super fun collection of clutches and wristlet’s for any mom who wants to keep her life organized and fashionable . From my Leather Sling Clutches, to my clear pouches and the Mom, Mommy, Mama Pouch, you are bound to find a unique gift that organizes a busy mom on the go.
Thank you for opening your hearts to these awesome shops, and supporting our small businesses during this crazy time. It makes us each happier than you know and EVERY purchase, no matter how small makes a difference in a small shop owner’s life.
